She smiled under the night sky
Little stars in her eyes
Legs pulled up to her warm heart
Breathing spectral clouds
Clouds of Andromeda
A dim glow above
A spatter of specks
Brushed across the void
But how could I know?
The stellar septillion
Orion and Hercules
Cassiopeia and Lyra
Our dear neighbor Andromeda
And Boötes abyss?
When all that matters
Is this five foot girl
With a supernova countenance
Where all the stars fail
To meet a fraction of her love
To outshine her blissful joy
Love is like a star.
too far, you’re icy and cold
too close, charred black is your soul
Of course, this is,
If you can even reach the stars.
Everyone else can,
Even though it is far.
